LWML

The Lutheran Women's Missionary League

The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML), with a membership of over 250,000, is the official women's organization of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The LWML focuses on affirming each woman in her relationship with Christ to enable her to be in ministry among the people of the world. For 60 years the organization has been encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to financially support global missions.

The LWML focuses on ...

  • Richer Spiritual Living
  • Global Awareness for Ministry
  • Avenues for God-blessed Service

Membership:  Any woman of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod is considered a member and is encouraged to participate in any local, zone, district, and national meetings, retreats, and conventions.

BLESS ITEMS are collected in a basket in the church entrance on an on-going basis.  BLESS stands for Batteries, Labels, Eyeglasses, Stamps, and Soap.  Batteries from watches and hearing aids are recycled for their copper, labels from Campbell soup and General Mills box tops are used for school items, eyeglasses are given to the Lions Club for their program of helping vision impaired people, postage stamps are trimmed and sold to collectors with the money going to LWML mission projects, new bars of soap are given to homeless shelters and Lutheran World Relief.

Stamps for Missions - new directions - save only the following stamps:

large commemoratives (not the small stamps with people's heads)

foreign

any stamps with a value over $1

postcards (the entire card)

All stamps should have a 1/4 inch border around them, be uncreased, and have all perforations intact.

MITE BOXES are available in the church entrance.  The money collected in these is used to fund mission projects of the district and the national organization.  District goal is $86,000 this year.  National goal is $1,575,000 for 14 different projects.  These are indeed mighty mites!  Please use a box and pray for the mission endeavors.  Boxes can be returned at any worship service by just putting them in the offering plate.
