Of all the gifts for which we thank God, above all is the gift of Himself to us, His erring but redeemed children!  Whom have I in Heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire besides you” (Psalm 73:25).

Our purpose is to reach out to families and individuals of all backgrounds and bring them into healing and transforming relationships with the Lord Jesus and with others in His Church through the sharing of God’s Word and Sacraments.

WHAT CAN I BRING…is a question frequently asked around the holidays.  The answer for “What can I bring for the Thanksgiving dinner?” is found in this month’s Market Day flyer.  Try desserts for a start…Fruit Medley Deep Dish Pie or Andes Chocolate Mint Layer Pie or Lemon Supreme Pie or French Silk Pie.  Don’t forget the traditional favorites…Pumpkin Pie and Pecan Pie.  If you’re hosting Thanksgiving dinner, why not serve a Spiral Sliced Ham or a Prime Rib Roast or a Crown Pork Roast.  Side dishes might include a Praline Sweet Potatoe Casserole, or Triple-Cheese Stuffed Potatoes or an Apple Cranberry Ring.  For the “Seafood Lover in You”, why not try Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi or Tilapia Fillets?  Your old standbys are still there…ChicNSteakes, Ranch Steaks, or Boneless Pork Chops.  So…make life easy on yourself…pick up a pen and complete the attached Market Day order form.  Orders are due by Thursday, October 25th.  Pickup is set for Thursday, November 1st, from 3:00 – 4:00.  (If you would like to volunteer to assist with sorting and packing orders…just come at 2:00.)

IT WON’T WORKwithout your help.  The Manna Program is designed to give you the opportunity to make everyday purchases and at the same time support the tuition assistance program or reduce a specific family’s tuition responsibility.  We all have to purchase groceries and put gas in our cars.  You can make those same purchases with gift cards from Manna.  There are no additional costs or charges for using Manna cards.  However, to make this program work, the school needs to purchase an average of $1,000 worth of cards per week.  That amount shouldn’t be “any big deal.”  If only ten people put $25 of gas in their cars a week and eight more bought $100 or 16 spent $50 in groceries a week, the program can continue to be successful.  It really doesn’t take much to make it work.  If we are unable to meet that goal, cards will be limited to inventory and orders placed less frequently.  (Weekly orders would only resume during the Christmas season.)  The bottom line is…to help reduce your family’s tuition through everyday purchases…PLEASE USE THE MANNA PROGRAM!
