Of all the gifts for which we thank God, above all is the
gift of Himself to us, His erring but redeemed children! “Whom have I in
Heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire besides you” (Psalm 73:25).
Our purpose is to reach out to families and individuals of all
backgrounds and bring
them into healing and transforming relationships with the Lord Jesus and with others in His Church
through the sharing of God’s Word and Sacraments.

THE HAT WAS OLD…weather-beaten, and worn. Its
brim was faded and stained. The logo was
forever embossed on the front. The
cleaners couldn’t help…even the most expert tailor could not restore the
hat. There was absolutely no way the hat
could be made to look new again. It had
to be replaced. The same holds true for
us. We have been beaten and worn by
sin. Our souls are stained by our
uncountable wrongs. It doesn’t matter
how much we donate to charity or how many good deeds we perform, in God’s eyes
we are sinners. But Jesus took away our
old hat…our hat of sins, and gave us a brand-new hat. The logo on this hat is the letter “C”…No, it
doesn’t stand for the Chicago Bears or the Chicago Cubs or even the Chicago
White Sox. The “C” stands for
Christian. When our heavenly Father sees
us with our new “C” hat, He counts us as forgiven and made new through His
Son. This was the message Pastor Haney,
from the district office, shared with the children in chapel this past week. Under the guidance of Jessi
Pederson, our kindergarten teacher, this week’s service will be presented by
student chapel leaders.
WOW…WHAT AN EXCITING CEREMONY…This past Wednesday,
