Of all the gifts for which we thank God, above all is the gift of Himself to us, His erring but redeemed children!  Whom have I in Heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire besides you” (Psalm 73:25).

Our purpose is to reach out to families and individuals of all backgrounds and bring them into healing and transforming relationships with the Lord Jesus and with others in His Church through the sharing of God’s Word and Sacraments.

We are happy to inform you that Lenten Dinners will be provided for the last two  Wednesdays (March 5th & 12th) before the Midweek Lenten Worship Services. We are very thankful for the families that have provided these meals each week, also for the friends and members of the congregation for their support.

STEWARDSHIP CORNER.   “When He rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, He found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow.  ‘Why are you sleeping?’ He asked them” (Luke 22:45-46).  Jesus was exhausted too.  After all, He was human.  He got hungry and tired, just as His disciples did.  We are prone to shake our heads at those lazy, disloyal disciples, but how often do we say we’re too tired to serve, too poor to give, too inadequate to help?  Like the disciples who were transformed on Pentecost, we have received the Holy Spirit Who equips, enables, and energizes us to be God’s stewards.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

STEWARDSHIP CORNER.   Who among us likes sacrifice?  Do we not seek to please ourselves, to spare ourselves, to shield ourselves and those we love from pain or disappointment or failure?  Unlike us, “Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things    .  . . Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him.”  Peter loved his Lord; He didn’t want Him to suffer.  Our answer to the temptation to self-centeredness should echo Jesus’ answer to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan . .You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men” (Matthew 16:21-23).
