Of all the gifts for which we thank God, above all is the gift of Himself to us, His erring but redeemed children!  “Whom have I in Heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire besides you” (Psalm 73:25).

Our purpose is to reach out to families and individuals of all backgrounds and bring them into healing and transforming relationships with the Lord Jesus and with others in His Church through the sharing of God’s Word and Sacraments.

ON EASTER SUNDAY OUR SPANISH SERVICE will be moving into the church at 11:30 AM.

the deacons ask that you leave your easter lilies in the chancel until the  sunday

after (april 30), so all our members can enjoy the decorated church.

TODAY’S SUNDAY SCHOOL. On this Palm Sunday the Sunday School lesson covers Matthew’s account of the Passion of Christ as He ventured to the cross for you and me. The Father, the perfect, righteous judge of the universe, forsook Jesus on the cross so that the perfect, righteous sacrifice, Jesus Christ could be punished for the sins of the whole world. Talk with your children about the wages of sin (death) and the gift of God (eternal life) in Christ Jesus. Talk about the importance of relying on Jesus blood and merit rather than our own works for salvation as you consider Luther’s explanation to the second article.

MISSION SUNDAY POTLUCK is March 30.  The Rev. Keith Haney, one of the facilitators for new mission congregations for the Northern Illinois District, will be the guest preacher and the speaker at the noon potluck.  Plan to attend!

The Easter Breakfast menu is as follows: Egg Casserole,

Spiral Ham, Potatoes, Biscuits, Fruit Salad, Juice, Milk and Coffee.

YOUTH GROUP NEWS:  PADS! – This Maundy Thursday marks youth group’s second adventure working with West Suburban PADS.  We will meet at St. Paul at 6:00pm again and drive to First United Methodist Church in Oak Park for our shift serving the homeless.  We will be taking as many towel donations as are in the tub in the Narthex, and we look forward to having you join us!  We know it is Maundy Thursday, but what better way to celebrate and remember Jesus’ passion for us than to take the time to care for His people?  J  Okay, so that was a little much, but seriously, please consider joining us.
