Drama Ministry Team 02/03

The mission of the Drama Ministry Team is to facilitate spiritual growth and outreach by sharing the gospel message through dramatic presentation.

Sunday August 10, during the 9 a.m. worship service, the St. Paul Drama Ministry Team presented “The Doctor is In” by Lorna Lee. Performed by Darryl B., Pris G., and Pat M., set design by Nina B. directed by Gabrielle Brown.

The Drama Ministry Team will be taking a summer break for the month of July. Please do attend the Second Sunday Service on July 13 when the students from our Vacation Bible School "RANCHO ROUNDUP" will sing some of the great songs they learned for the whole congregation!!!

Thursday, May 29, during the 7 p.m. Ascension worship service, the St. Paul Drama Ministry Team presented " SPECIAL DELIVERY" by Paul Maley. The cast included Chris W. as Steve and Sharon O. as Millie, Directed by Lynette Welter.

Sunday, June 8, during the 9 a.m. Pentecost/Anniversary Bilingual worship service, the St. Paul Drama Ministry Team presented "House and Home" by Jeff Arthurs, adapted and translated by Pastor Paul Gossman. Performed by: Jerry B., Gabrielle B., Elsa F. and Fermin M.

Sunday May 11, during the 9 a.m. worship service, the St. Paul Drama Ministry Team presented "Like My Mom" by Evelyn Minshull. Performed by: Audrey B. W., and students from St. Paul's Junior Kindergarten, Kindergarten and friends, sound: Ferman M.

The Drama Ministry Team wishes to thank the following people who served as actors and provided behind the scenes support for our Lenten and Holy Week productions: Rick B., Nina B., Sean B., Al B., James B., Gabrielle B., Keegan C., John F., Carl F., Paul G., Reggie J., Becky J., Mia K., Mark K., Chuck L., Angel L., Kim L., Dan L., Wayne L., Stacia P., Ferman M., Lena M., Lynette W. and David Z.. Without the hard work of these dedicated people it would not have been possible to present ten different dramas in six weeks. This was truly a TEAM effort. Our heartfelt thanks go out to you all.

On Easter Sunday, April 20 at 9 a.m., Al B. as Cleopas, a follower of Jesus, and Reggie J. as Matthias, also a follower presented "The News". Good Friday, April 18 at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., Lena M. as Mary, the mother of Jesus and Angel L. as John, a disciple, presented "Orphans". Wednesday, April 9 Lynette W. as Mary Magdalene and Chuck L. as Nicodemus presented "The Gift". Wednesday, April 2, David Z. and Mark K. as Roman Guards presented "Forsaken". Wednesday, March 26, Nina B. as Lydia, an onlooker at Golgotha and Kim L. as Abigail, also an onlooker and friend, presented "The Good Son". Wednesday, March 19, Gabrielle B. as Minnah, a thief's sister and Dan L. as Japhat, a bystander, presented "The One In The Middle". Wednesday, March 12, Rick B. as Zadok, a zealot and James B. as Judas Iscariot, presented "Father Forgive Them". On Ash Wednesday John F. as Simon and Sean B. as Benjamin presented “The Cross Carrier”.

For Palm Sunday Worship Services, 5:30 p.m. April 12 and 9 a.m. April 13, the St. Paul Drama Ministry Team presented "Hear the Hosannas!" by Lynette Welter. The cast included Becky J. as Sarah, and Gabrielle B. (Sat) and Mia K. (Sun) as Naomi. Directed by Gabrielle B. and Lynette W. Special thanks to Ferman M. for the sound effects.

March 9 The Drama Ministry Team presented “It Was I” by Lynette Welter. The cast included Nina B., Sean B., Al B., Theresa B., Gabrielle B., Audrey B. -W., John F., Alex F., Priscilla G., Vanesa L., Patrick M., Sharon O., Matt S., and Lynette W. Directed by Lynette Welter

Sunday February 9, during the 9 a.m. worship service, the St. Paul Drama Ministry Team presented "AMONG FRIENDS" by Tom Bennardo. The cast included Matt S., Patrick M. and John F.; directed by Lynette Welter, sound: Ferman M.

Sunday, January 12 (Mission Sunday) the St. Paul Drama Ministry Team presented TIME TO MEET by Steven James. The cast was Derek: Reginald J.; Stranger: Lynette W.

Sunday December 8, during the 9 a.m. worship service, the St. Paul Drama Ministry Team presented "PREPARE THE WAY" by George Scranton. The cast included: Chuck L., Janet M., Angel L., Pris G., Audrey B. W., and Scott A.; directed by Lynette Welter.

Sunday November 10, during the 9 a.m. worship service, the St. Paul Drama Ministry Team in cooperation with The St. Paul Youth Group presented "Surrender". The cast included Sarah G., Brian S., Sean B., Alexander F., Amy Z., David B. and Haley O.. Directed by Lynette Welter. Special thanks to Ferman Mendoza for the sound effects.
