Thank you!  You have received this email because you are special to us. We appreciate your commitment to us, Keegan and Rebecca Christ, and to those we serve.  You are here with us, you just may not know it.  Thanks for walking with us through life.

Madde, Empan, LuLu and Becka after Klubb. Madde and LuLu  both attend a local Bible school in Stockholm and are helping reach out to teens in Täby. Empan is still in high school.  She is an incredibly gifted musician and shares her talent by leading music at Klubb.  These ladies are part of the reason kids are coming to Klubb to hear about Christ. Praise God for young leaders like these!

As mentioned to the left, Colossians 4:5, God calls believers to,
"Be wise in the way you act towards outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.

We want to hear from you what that means in your daily life.  Please email responses to Rebecca(atsymbol)younglife.se*

There is no silly answer, and it would truly encourage us and help us to better serve the Lord...We hope to hear from everyone: retirees, pastors, stay-at-home-moms, teachers, students...we can learn from all of you!

Colossians 4:5: Be wise in the way you act towards outsiders; make the most of every opportunity." Wow! What a call.  For me that means many things:

  • It reminds me that the kids I am meeting who don't know Christ are missing out on hope, peace, purpose, and understanding of who they are as God's precious children. As a result they are hurting in ways they don't even understand.
  • It reminds me that every time I am with them, I need to be acting in such a way that they see God through me.  I need to be gentle, caring, and giving generously
  • I need to use my creativity to glorify Him.
  • I must never be condescending or judgmental. These are God's precious children, even if they don't know it.  Jesus was never negative towards non-believers, I need to be careful not to be as well.

This verse is one of the foundational principles of the ministry we are a part of. With Young Life we are building relationships with kids who don't know Jesus. We walk in wisdom towards unbelievers as we take them seriously.  We earnestly try to understand their world.

We pray for kids by name, long before we get the opportunity to share Christ with them.We also have crazy, fun events like Klubb, where we ask Swedish leaders like Tobias to dress up like James Bond and get on kids level to enjoy life, and play together.

As we are real with kids, hopefully they get the opportunity to see Christ through us. What I like about this verse is that it is not calling me to be perfect or not calling me to be someone I am not. Its calling me to be WISE, to think, to be intentional. That, I can do!

On most Friday nights this fall I can be found at Enebykyrkan (Eneby Church), hanging out with a group of teenagers.  I go not as a leader, but as a participant getting to know a group of Swedish boys.  In terms of their faith, they are a diverse group of boys, some believe and some do not.  Since I have been coming they have said that they would like to occasionally get together elsewhere and talk more about life and faith.  Now we sometimes sit and jam. Well, lets face it, they jam and I listen. A few of them are incredible guitarists. We have also spent many hours playing fotboll (soccer) in our socks in a room the size of most peoples living room.  It is a mess of sweaty boys and smelly feet once we are done. This opportunity to love these boys as Jesus does is worth every stubbed toe on the radiator.  Please pray for our Friday nights together, that their trust in me would grow and we can have more chances to talk about Christ.

We'd love to here from you. Call us on our USA # 815 315 0227. We are 7 hours ahead of CST.  Feel free to call us until 11pm our time!

Please Pray For:

  • Praise for Funding.
  • Praise for mentors/ solid training that we recently received.
  • Continued Progress in devolping Swedish led ministry in Vallentuna and furthering the relationship established with the 5 local churches.
  • Us to meet 5-6 adults eager and able to do outreach ministry with kids who do not know Jesus.
  • Us to find a home church where we can be fed and nurtured.

Please let us know how we can pray for and support you.  E-mail requests to: Rebecca(atsymbol)younglife.se*
